Ensuring safety of navigation and communications in the NSR water area

The purpose is to ensure the independence of navigation along the NSR from foreign ice monitoring systems and communication with sea vessels. This requires:

  • Creation of a domestic satellite constellation for ice monitoring and communication
  • Increasing the density of the network of Roshydromet stations and their technical equipment to the values recommended by the World Meteorological Organization
  • Development of a system of centralized operational-tactical management of year-round navigation along the NSR

Implement
