FSUE Atomflot made a direct purchase from a single supplier. According to REGNUM, on October 18, 2021, information on the purchase of a FSUE, which was created to ensure the operation and technological maintenance of nuclear icebreakers and ships of the auxiliary fleet, appeared in the public procurement database. The contract price is valued at 190 230 752 514.88 rubles. The source of financing is the company's own funds.

The contract was signed with another asset of Rosatom - Atomenergomash.

In the purchase background statement the authors refer to the order of the state corporation Rosatom on a new business line - Energoflot based on optimized floating nuclear power plants, as well as to a comprehensive plan for the implementation of an investment project for the development of the Baim ore zone, developed by the RF Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.
