The budget financing of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Hydrographic Enterprise" for the implementation of projects in the water area of the Northern Sea Route will be increased almost 3 times in 2021

In 2021, the amount of budget financing of the FSUE Hydrographic Enterprise will grow from 0.4 billion rubles to 1.1 billion rubles, and the number of tasks will also increase, - said the General Director of Rosatom State Corporation during a business trip to the enterprise. The ambitious target of carrying out hydrographic surveys of 85,960 virtual kilometers remains to be achieved. This is 85% more compared to 2020. At the same time, it is planned to start a program of deep modernization of three operating ice-class hydrographic vessels - "Grigory Mikheev", "Petr Kottsov" and "Alexey Maryshev". 4 new vessels are under construction, their acceptance is expected in 2021. Moreover, construction of a new ice-class hydrographic vessel Arc7 begins this year.

In 2020, the team of the enterprise ensured the operation of 290 objects of navigation equipment in the water area of the Northern Sea Route. A survey of 46.5 thousand virtual kilometers of the bottom configuration was carried out on the NSR and the limiting sections of the Yenisei Gulf, the Yenisei and Kolyma rivers. The maintenance, operation and development of 7 infrastructure facilities of GLONASS / GPS control and correction stations in the Arctic is also in the area of responsibility.

During the reconstruction of the sea channel of the Gulf of Ob, a national record was set for the volume of bottom dredging. During the year, 32.5 million cubic meters of soil were withdrawn and a safe depth of minimum 12 m was reached. This will allow increasing the traffic of YamalMax vessels and the subsequent transportation of gravity-type bases for the Arctic LNG 2 project already in 2021. In addition, the construction of ice protection structures has begun, and 830 units of pile products have been loaded.

During the meeting with the active members of the FSUE “Hydrographic Enterprise”, the General Director of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev introduced the new General Director of the enterprise - Alexander Bengert.

Alexey Likhachev said that the enterprise is entering a new phase of its formation. In addition to the traditional tasks of navigation and hydrographic support, the company will take part in the implementation of new projects aimed at developing the NSR as a competitive international and national maritime transport corridor capable of effectively meeting any needs of consumers of transport and logistics services. In particular, the construction of new port facilities will begin in the Gulf of Ob, on the Yenisei River, in Chukotka and in Yakutia. The tasks are large-scale, and as the Arctic projects develop, they will only increase.

Let us recall that in 2019 the FSUE Hydrographic Enterprise was transferred from the Ministry of Transport of Russia to the jurisdiction of the State Corporation Rosatom in connection with its endowment with the function of an infrastructure operator of the Northern Sea Route in 2018.
